Figures 1 shows that across the geopolitical zones in Nigeria the northeast has the highest percentage of oos of both primary and secondary school age in the country, in northeast there are more out of scholl ( oos) girls than boys who are primary school age (i.e hightly percent 37.3 percent respectively)

A 2022 report noted that approximitely 20 million Nigeria individual of its 200million population are enrolled in school .the amount to 20 percent of nigeria’s entire population and is more than population of various country in Africa.
The 12 state at the top of the chart have about 8.739 million of country’s out of school. Bauchi, zamfara, kebbi,katsina,kano, jigawa,kaduna and gombe.
