According to Educeleb report, the total number of children who are out of school in Nigeria from the six geopolitical zone are 10,193,918.

The report shows that the South Eastern region including Enugu, Ebonyi, Abia, Imo and Anambra State has the highest number of children out of school with the sum total of 713,176.

The North Western region; Sokoto, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kebi, Kano and Katsina top second with the total of 3,490671 compared to the North Eastern part (Jigawa, Bauchi, Gombe, Yobe, Borno, Adamawa and Taraba) that has a total of 2,001,038.

Similarly, the South Western region which comprises of six States including Lagos, Oyo, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti and Ogun has a total of 1,451,740 while the North Central part; FCT, Niger, Plateau, Nasarawa, Kwara, Kogi and Benue took second as the lowest zone with the total of 1,329,111.

Conclusivelly, the South South region was said to have the lowest number of children out of school with the total of 1,208,182.The South South region includes;Edo, Delta, Bayelsa, River, Akwa Ibom and Cross River State.
